(to the best of my knowledge) 1103 (summer(~?)) - born to Henry I & Matilda of Scotland. he had an elder legitimate sister named Matilda, as well as many many illegitimate siblings 1113 (February) - betrothed to Matilda of Anjou (born c 1111), daughter of Count Fulk V of Anjou. as a betrothal present, he receives the county of Maine 1115 - Henry I is pressed by Louis VI of France to do homage as Duke of Normandy (of which he is in possession of, making him technically Louis's vassal), but he's reluctant to comply, being a king in his own right. Henry offers to have William, his only son & heir, to do homage in his stead; As heir, receives homage & fealty of the barons of Normandy 1116 (March) - Receives homage & fealty of the barons of England 1118 (May) - Death of his mother, Matilda; Is considered old enough to serve as his father's regent while he is off in Normandy (previously a role assumed by his mother) - is closely supported by his father's advisors (being 15-16 years old). after this, was sometimes referred to as 'rex designatus' (king designate) 1119 (summer) - sails to join his father in Normandy (June) married to Matilda of Anjou in Lisieux, Normandy (she is about 8, & he 17).
